[EVENT] Embassy of the Republic of Korea hosts K-Culture dialogue with Ambassador

Kuala Lumpur, 12 July 2016 - K-Culture Dialogue with Korean Ambassador to Malaysia was held in Korea Plaza KL in collaboration between the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Malaysia and Korean Tourism Organization. The event was attended by fans of K-Pop Idol groups such as Big Bang, EXO, TVXQ and Girls Generation; Korean Language learners; Korean food lovers; and followers of overall Korean Wave.

Speaking at the dialogue, H.E Dr. Yu Hyun-seok, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Malaysia, “We are excited to organize this type of gathering with K-culture lovers in Malaysia. We hope to bring the cultures of Korea and Malaysia closer through this initiative and hence strengthen the ties between our two nations.”

The dialogue started with an ice-breaking session where His Excellency and participants had hands-on experience of making colorful flower kimbap together. The session was followed by friendly conversation between His Excellency and participants. All of the participants had actively participated in the dialogue session in an amicable atmosphere.

The Embassy will be organizing another casual dialogue session with all of the K-lovers soon.
